Day 1: Transfer From Kampala To Bwindi Impenetrable Park
The safari driver guide will meet you on this day, do the briefing about the entire trip, and then set off to Southwestern Uganda where Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga National Parks are situated. But first, you will head to Bwindi.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the rift valley, found in three districts of Kanungu Kisoro and Rubanda.
The park is famous for gorilla trekking and this unique experience involves hiking through dense tropical rainforest to witness gorillas in their natural habitat.
The park is divided into four sections namely Buhoma, Nkuringo, Ruhija, and Rushaga each of these four bases functions as a self-standing gorilla tracking destination.
The drive is more scenic through farms and green plantations, enjoying great views of the beautiful landscape countryside, and the rolling terraced green gardens.
Have way your journey, you will make a stopover in Mbarara Town to have lunch and then proceed till you reach your lodge in Bwindi in the evening.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Mgahinga
You will wake up early to have your breakfast and then the driver guide will take you up to the park headquarters, for the briefing about the dos and don’ts of the gorilla experience.
After the briefing, you will be allocated to a group of 8 people and head to the starting point. With the help of the park guide and rangers, enter the forest for trekking. Depending on the location of the gorilla family’s habitat, this activity will take you 1-6 hours to find gorillas.
Once the gorillas are spotted you will observe and watch them feeding and playing, see them communicating among themselves feel free to take photos for memories.
After the one hour with gorillas, you will walk out of the forest and that marks the end of your experience
The driver guide will be waiting to take you back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will drive to the Mgahinga area to lodge there and prepare for the following day’s gorilla tracking experience. If gorilla trekking in Bwindi is done in the Rushaga Sector, you will stay at the same lodge which is close to Mgahinga.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Mgahinga National Park
You will wake up early for your morning meal and drive to Ntebeko, Mgahinga Headquarters, for a briefing.
You will then dive into the hilly Montane Forest of Mgahinga to search for the Nyakagezi family, the only habituated troop in this park. It will not take so long to find this enthralling gorilla group.
When you meet it, you will observe how this gorilla family goes about its daily routine and take some pictures and videos. At an hour mark, you will leave its locale to end your trekking experience.
Out of the forest, you will meet your guide who will lead you to your lodge for lunch and take a short rest.
In the evening, you will get to the Batwa community to enjoy their stories and witness their rudimentary way of life by visiting their social centers. The cultural tour will close with a captivating rendition where they will perform their traditional music, dance, and drama.
You will then get back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking In Mgahinga National Park
You will have an early breakfast from the lodge and meet up with the driver guide to drive to the park headquarters for the briefing about the dos and don’ts during the golden monkey experience.
After the briefing, you will be led by a park ranger to the forest in search of golden monkeys. These monkeys prefer a habitat with abundant fruits and bamboo trees.
When you meet these interesting rare monkey species, you will see them from one bamboo tree to another playing and grabbing fruits.
At the end of one hour of observing the golden monkeys, you will slope back and then drive to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will drive to Kabale, Lake Bunyonyi, for a cozy evening. Lake Bunyonyi is one of the most serene places in Uganda to relax and unwind.
You may engage in activities such as swimming, boat riding, and bird watching. At night, you will have dinner and rest for the next day’s travel.
Day 5: Travel to Kampala or Entebbe
You will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, and drive back to Kampala or Entebbe
You will make a stopover at the lgongo Cultural Centre for lunch and continue with the journey to Kampala or Entebbe.
If your flight is on that very day, the driver guide will drive you straight to the airport for departure.
